The Dornier 24


The Dornier was a a hydroplane built in France during WWII for Germany. It was seized back by the French airforce in 1944.

In December 1945 it crashed into the sea in the bay of Les Sablettes. The 27 metres long wing lies on the seabed in 43 metres of water. The cockpit lies a little further down at a depth of 46 metres.
